I've been having the same type dream for a while now. Sometimes it's obvious why I'm dreaming this, and other times it's not. I have to get up several times during the night to go to the bathroom. Sometimes I'm in a deep sleep, so I don't wake up right away. This is when the crazy dreams start. Over time I think I figured out my brain is trying to scare me awake or delay something in my dream to give me time to wake up.

The most common dream I have is looking for a bathroom before I wet myself. Most of the time, the bathroom is far away. Sometimes I have no shoes on making it difficult walking through gravel or whatever. My dream will throw up obstacles on my way to the bathroom such as a road with traffic, a wild animal, or even sometimes a dead relative. I finally find a bathroom, and one of two things will happen. I go inside, which I'll get to that in a minute. The other thing is, I find the bathroom, and it moves. I open the door, and it takes me outside. One night I went through the same door 3 times before I realized the bathroom was hidden behind a coke machine that I had to slide down to open the door. A lot of times I find a bathroom, but for some reason the door is too small for me to get through. Now, once I've made my way to the bathroom, there's always someone in there watching me. One time I was back in school and went to the bathroom and the stalls had no doors or walls, and everyone from my class were lined up to watch me. Once, I managed to get inside a one toilet bathroom, lock the door, and started my business. 2 seconds later the janitor walks in with a mop and bucket to clean the bathroom telling me he can't wait any longer and I would have to wait until he finished.

I've also had dreams that I've come to figure out are dreams intended to scare me awake to get up and go to the bathroom. In these dreams, I'm usually driving. Last night, I was driving down a mountain at night, and my lights went out. Other times my brakes will go out. Sometimes I'm being pulled over by a cop and being arrested. A lot of different things all intended to scare me awake.

Anyone else have those kind of dreams? Just curious if anyone else does and if anyone is interested in hearing more random dreams I have each night and the way my brain seems to be working on it's own to wake me up at night.
