looks like you don't need much help getting lucid.
But there are some great tutorials on dream control and shared dreaming, or task of the month
You could also try and extend the time in your dreams and have more lucids.

Gaining control over it and changing stuff in the dream can sometimes be a bit of a challenge, but it does happen! Even when I am fully aware I'm dreaming, it's challenging.
I'm actually really interested in what kinds of things I should try while dreaming; hopefully DV can help me with that!

Yeah I'm pretty much the opposite of Mel. I've flown around, jumped around in low g and a few other great experience but i've only ever once realised i was dreaming. At this point i tried to change the entire scene and woke up -_-

Ah ok. You have the power in your dreams, just try to tell yourself that and know it's true. If you don't, it's because you lack confidence in what you're about to do. As you're lucid very often and have trouble with control it might be hard in the beginning to learn it, but don't give up! Also, like Angusaurus said, there's a thing called: "Task of the month" and it's two tasks each month you try to accomplish. WhatIsX: My dreams end if I try to change them too much. Go with the flow and just change minor stuff and you'll be fine.
