I suppose an introduction would be in order!

Sup, I'm a freshie here. Created my account today after finding the site yesterday evening.

I've always been incredibly interested by the concept of dreaming, and the idea of controlling them has always been present in my head but I never thought it was actually possible. I knew that there was some way of excerting some kind of basic control over what you are dreaming, but I never thought that you could achieve conciousness while actually inside the dream. I remember several times in my childhood where I was dreaming something awesome, but then waking up and being all bummed out about cutting off the dream. So when I then went to bed the next night, I'd hold the memories I had of that dream solidly in my head while laying in bed, and sure enough, I ended up dreaming a new episode of the same dream.

As for who I am, I'm a 21y/o male swedish civil engineering student. I enjoy working out, hanging out with friends, producing music, finding and listening to new music, studying and reading mangas. I'm currently on my first year of university, and enjoying immensly.

I think that's about all I can think of to write at the moment! Hoping to have a good time here

Hi and welcome to DV! You will be amazed how awesome Lucid Dreams really are when you first experience them. Actually I still am, but the possibilities are even cooler. Start writing down your dreams to increase your recall and read up on the different techniques in the Wiki - Dreamviews Lucid Dreaming Community & Resource

Thanks! I have started writing down my dreams yeah. Been going through the material here quite meticuously. It's all incredibly interesting and insightful! Made the decision to not rush this, but instead simply start slowly by getting into the habit of doing RC's throughout my days and writing down my dreams. The prospect of eventually being able to lucid dream excites me more than I can convey with simple text

I must say though, some of the things that are written here seem really surreal. The methods described seem so farfetched that it's hard to believe they actually work! But they've evidently worked for others, so who am I to judge!

Anyway, as the weather here is quite simply incredible, I'm gonna go for a walk. Hoping it's as sunny wherever in Sweden you are as it is where I am

Keep the enthusiasm at that level and you will be fine! I've had Lucid Dreams naturally so I knew what was possible, but I'm still not sure what to make of say, shared dreaming, astral projection, spirit guide and time dilation. I'm open minded though and the only way to find out is to try to experience them myself.

The weather is indeed amazing, but I'm not going anywhere in my current state Feel the air and sun and everything when you're out. Try to really feel what it's like to be awake, if you do that you can eventually tell the difference between the dream state and waking state by just the feel of it.

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
