I probably had my first one from DILD. Your RCs will carry over, it just takes time. |

I have been having a small sense of success using DEILDs, but it usually ends up with sleep and darkness. If anyone could tell me how they got their first LD, that'd be great. The reason is that I need a good starting point because my RC's don't carry over to dreams, and they become an afterthought |

Mine was also a DILD. When i started i spent all my free time on here, which was several hours a day (don't worry, i get out now XD ) and really got into it. About 3 weeks later i had my first DILD by doing a random RC in my dream and got lucid for about 20 seconds. Nothing unusual for me |

I looked around and realized I was in a weird 16th century/futuristic city and that my hand had just atomized in front of me. Then I started yelling to all the dream characters around me, "HOLY $%#@ YOU GUYS I'M DREAMING LOOK AT ME!!!!" And promptly woke myself up due to over-excitement. |

It was the best of times. It was the end of times.
I'm one of the oddities. My first intentional lucid was a WILD. I practiced WILDing for ~2 months. I had my first success with SP at the end of the first month. And then it took a couple more months after my first WILD to have some that were worthwhile and more than just a few minutes. However most people have success with DILDs first. Try to reality check as much as possible during the day, and make your reality checks last as long as possible, keep a dream journal, use WBTB, and you will eventually have a Lucid. |
