Okay I'm not totally sure what your saying but it seemed like a pretty short lucid dream.
What's your dream recall like? If it's pretty solid then keep up reality checking to get more.

I love it when the mind does something just to prove you wrong.

From here, I think you should start by trying different induction techniques and just focus on getting more lucid dreams. Once you're somewhat used to the idea of being lucid, you might want to focus on stabilizing your dreams and basic dream control. Or you could just jump into an army of zombies and shoot fireballs randomly like I did. Sadly when I did that I woke up 2 minutes later from dream overload.

Congrats on your first lucid dream by the way! Welcome to our world! O_O

Good luck in your future Lucid Dreaming endeavors! Don't doubt yourself. If you knew that you were dreaming (while dreaming), then you were definitely lucid whether it lasted for two seconds or thirty minutes.

From here, all you have to do is keep practicing. Try out different induction techniques to find the ones which work best for you. As you practice your technique should become more and more refined to better suit you. If you have any further questions on your journey feel free to ask the community. Hello and congratulations on your first lucid dream! Exciting

Are you keeping a dream journal? A dream journal can be the #1 most helpful tool in dream recall, recognizing dream signs, and becoming lucid (in my humble opinion).

Also, be sure not to make reality checks a habit! Once they become habit you might just skim over them... There's nothing more frustrating than doing a reality check in a dream only to decide that you're not dreaming!

      Oh and....

      Welcome to DV!
