      Just another Newbie question

For me, I have lucid dreams where randomly in the dream I will realise I am dreaming. I read the points on how to invoke this moment, but I do not really think any of those will help me. The dreams are really random, sometimes ill have a few a week, other times I wait a few months. I think it is pretty fun, which is why I am curious if there are any other methods that people would like to share with me.
Also, just another random point, but about 2 nights ago, I was in my dream talking to someone, and said "It doesn't matter, this is a dream." Up until that moment I had no idea I was dreaming, but when I said that in my dream, that was when I became aware. I find this kinda intriguing, and just wanted to ask if this is anything people have experienced.

Well for some people like me, it's just a random thing that just seems to have no trigger. A few other people have even had lucid dreams their whole lives without inducing them. I've had moments where out of no where I would say, "Hey, you know this is a dream right?" Instantly lucid after that. One time I actually said that and didn't become lucid though. Makes me want to face palm now.

Most of the time, people become lucid suddenly and without a designated "trigger". Then, as they start figuring that they could be in a dream, they do a reality check and the mindset sticks. In my own lucids, I've become aware in a great deal of different situations; only once have I become lucid doing a reality check - and in that case, I was more aware than normal.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
