      New with question on supplements

Hi everyone I am happy to be here! I was wondering if there are certain supplements one can take to enhance the dream experience? I currently take Lecithin, B complex and a B6. I really have not noticed them helping that much. Any suggestions?

      Thanks,
      Debra

There are certain supplements available which can enhance, inhibit, etc. But I would always say it's a good idea not to use dreaming aids, as you may start to rely on them to dream at all. If you still want to know which supplements are available, I would recommend reading the Lucid Aids forum for more information. It's a sub-forum of the Attaining Lucidity forum.

Very helpful. I personally have taken Omega-3 Salmon Oil and have had some freaky dreams, but not always. I also don't recommend aids (that sound right?) unless you're going through some kind of dry-spell like myself.

Oh, and welcome to Dream Views

Contrary to the opinions already stated, I have little problem with Lucid Aids such as B complex vitamins and other supplements. Any of the aids are already natural and essential vitamins, minerals and amino acids that our bodies produce through the day or metabolize from different food stuffs.

Most of these lucid aid supplements and vitamins work together with other supplements and vitamins. If you'll be taking B6 or B complex, you're going to want to make sure you intake Tryptophan or 5-HTP as well, which will produce Seratonin. Essential for dreaming and also plays a key role in regulating mood.

Try melatonin, it causes a REM rebound, which should create much more vivid dreams.
