Hi and welcome to Dream Views! There is no technique that is "the best". It's all individual, and some people get lucid way more often by doing DILD rather than MILD, some can't do DILD/MILD but rely on WILD. |

Hi there, newbie! It's good that you're excited about lucid dreaming. I remember being so excited when I first joined that I had a lucid right away. Good luck to you; I hope you'll enjoy yourself here on DV. Happy dreaming! |

It sounds like you're entering sleep paralysis. You should keep lucid dreaming in your mind at this point, and try to ignore everything else like heaviness or lights, etc, and you'll enter the dream at a point. My advice at this point is this: don't be curious or even excited about whether you'll lucid dream or not; simply expect to have a lucid dream in the first place. Confidence plays a big role in lucid dreaming, along with effort, so if you don't get immediate progress with WILDs, don't be discouraged. Keep at it! |
