First Lucid dream. Wow, I didn’t even know some of this was possible!

Hello, I'm still relatively new here and have been trying to induce a lucid dream for almost three months now. Needless to say, I was kind of getting frustrated.

While browsing the forums for yesterday, I came across CrazyInSane's WILD tutorial, which uses an alarm clock to wake you up and then immediately shuts off. I decided to give it a try and stop doing WBTB for a while. So I set my phone's calendar to alert me in the morning and went to sleep normally.

Then in the middle of a particularly weird dream, I became conscious all of the sudden, just like that. I immediately did a RC by reading a nearby poster, looking away, and then reading it again. It worked and the poster changed each time I looked at it. After that I just kind of sat there and took in my surroundings (for some reason I was in the kitchen from "Beverly Hillbillies" eating nachos) and eventually woke up.

I glanced at my phone and saw that the alarm had gone off about ten minutes before I woke up, so I'm guessing what I did was actually an EILD. Even weirder, though, is that I could remember six different dreams, when I usually only remember about two.

Anyway, I'm pumped about finally becoming lucid and hope any other new LDers can take something from this. Thanks!

Congrats! I hope you can reproduce this sort of thing again. Good luck.
I don't usually think, therefore I mostly am not.

Likewise, you cant teach some one who looks for facts to have faith in the absence of facts.
