I know that a lot of people have this problem when trying to WILD. You could try swallowing when you need to, and it may stop as you get closer to SP. If this still doesn't work, I'd recommend lying in a different position that doesn't cause saliva to run down your throat. For example, with your body on your side.

Theta binaural beats, as far as I know, induce awareness in deep meditation and in REM sleep. I haven't tried them myself, but it seems that a fair number of people have had success with them. So if you're interested in them, I'd recommend trying them for one or two nights to see if/how well they work.

I'm not *completely* sure, but I think you start playing them through a pair of stereo headphones, just before you go to sleep, and you leave it playing all night. When you enter REM sleep, the beats should induce higher awareness, giving you a better chance of becoming lucid in the dream.

You should look for recurring patterns in your dreams. For example, someone that I chat to, is in my dreams a lot. So I RC whenever he joins or leaves the chat. A few of my dreams are minecraft-based, so I RC whenever I start playing minecraft. You should look for your dream signs, and RC whenever they occur / whenever you do them.

How long have you been keeping a journal for? I'd recommend going at it for at least 1-2 weeks before you'll start to notice dream signs.

I'd be happy to . I can subscribe to your dream journal so that I get updates when you write a new entry, and I'll try to help you find some dream signs. I'll PM you if I notice anything.

      Edit

I realize now that you haven't created a dream journal on DV yet. If you post your dreams on DV, I can look through them and help you with finding your dream signs. To get started, click the Dream Journals link at the top of the page, and click Add Entry.

You can title them however you want. I used to put dates on mine, but now I just choose an appropriate title, like "Church Service", or "Trapped in a Box".

That's great, though I would recommend you write out your dreams from this morning, even if you just scribble some notes down on paper, because when tomorrow comes, you may have forgotten the dreams. I'll look through your DJ at some point and see if I can help you find some dream signs through it .
