How can I get back in to Lucid Dreaming?

All right. Some of you may know me, some of you might not, but that isn't really important.

Long story short, about a month or two back, I was trying to get in to LDing but I never really got around to it. I kept procrastinating whilst 'practicing' so I didn't really get any where. This time, however, I'd really like to get in to it for real if that makes sense.

Thing is, I'm extremely lacking for motivation. I'd really, really like to do it but I'm not even motivated in the slightest. How can I motivate myself?

Also, what's a good sleep timetable to keep to? Since leaving school my sleeping patterns have gone out the window, sometimes I'll stay up 'till 11, other times 3, and so on. Basically, what's a decent time to go to bed and a decent time to wake up in order to LD effectively?

LAST QUESTION. D'ya have any good beginner tips?

I know it's a lot but I'd really appreciate answers to these questions. This is a fantastic community and I'm sure I'll get the answers I need. Thank you in advance.

Motivation is an extremely important aspect of lucid dreaming. Without motivation, why do it at all?

My favorite way is to look through other people's dream journals here. Especially in the Dream Gallery (That's where they keep the awesome stuff). Seeing the amazing things other people have done is really helpful.

      As for beginner tips...

Always pay attention. Pay attention to as much as you can. Eventually you'll find something a little off, and you'll become lucid.

Do well, and keep at it!

The motivation part is easy, imagine a world where there are no rules whatsoever and you have unlimited stamina and power. I think you're suffering from is a lack of self-discipline. Wanting to have LDs is easy, putting in the effort to actually have some is hard.

As for your sleep schedule, I recommend getting 8-10 hours per sleep. Whichever hours that falls into doesn't make much difference. Just make sure you don't go to bed totally sleep deprived, that'll decrease your chances of having a DILD.

Good luck and stick with it!

Set up a goal you will be blown away by when you achieve. Try to see the little things as the most amazing things that they really are, don't go like: "Meh, flying is cool I guess, but not awesome." You're FLYING for christ's sake! Wohoo!

Make sure that goal isn't impossible to achieve aswell, you want to be able to do it.

For sleep I'd say 7-9 hours, and if you can, sleep in on weekends. That's when I have the most dreams.

Heh, thank you. Nice signature by the way.

Thank you very much for all the advice, everyone. I'll be sure to put it to good use.

If anybody wants to offer any more, that'd be greatly appreciated as well.
