I second Matte87's post. A dream journal is a must for everyone on here, no matter what they are doing. Before I started mine, I never dreamed. Now, I have 4 dreams a night. Start one.
Next thing you need to do is have a look around DV, look into stuff. Many methods on here require you to be able to recall some dreams a night before starting. But trust, tonight I would say you will have a dream. Look into each method, or ask for the best one for you. Give details on when you go to sleep, how you sleep, when you have to wake up, etc.
Then pick a method that suits you. Stick with that method. If after a week as a general rule, if it doesn't do anything at all, leave it.
The main methods are DILD, WILD, DEILD, WBTB and ADA. Thats my opinion, but some people may disagree. But to me, these are the main, central methods. There are loads more that branch out from these.
To summarize: Start a dream journal. If you can't do that, then you may as well cut your chances of L.Ding in half. Then, fish around and find a method that looks easy and simple for you. Then try it the best you can for a week. If nothing happens, try something else. If something does happen, well done.
