Just keep practicing your recall and build that up for now.
What you may want to try is to say a mantra over and over again before you sleep, the reason it may have keeping you awake is because you might be concentration too hard. It might be a good idea to have 10 mins of saying our mantra and then just forget about everything, remember if your just going to bed your out of your REM cycle and it'll be difficult to WILD. Your work here doesn't start UNTILL your asleep so pound your mantra Into your head then do whatever you need to, to go to sleep =].
