Weird feeling while listening to a lucid dreaming app

Last night I wanted to try out lucid dreaming.
I had a banana right before bed because I've heard they can help with remembering your dreams.
I was listening to a lucid dreaming app where a man with a deep voice talks and tells you to imagine yourself on a beach, on boat, new island, such and such.
I was closing my eyes and I started to see faint swirls of purple, then a quick moving, blurry line of white.
I opened my eyes, thinking it was the head lights of our neighbors car that often shines through my blinds, but it wasn't.
I closed my eyes again and it all happened again, but I kept my eyes closed, but soon after I couldn't really feel my body anymore and felt as if I was sinking into the mattress.
I was kinda freaked out by this and opened my eyes, closed them again, and it happened one more time.
I didn't like the feeling so I stopped listening to it and went to bed normally and didn't feel anything.

Were those colors and feelings a sign of something to do with lucid dreaming? Or was a just aware of myself about to fall asleep? I was pretty tired, but not pass-out tired, so maybe that's also a reason? Let me know what you think!

Naw this is really typical if you try to fall asleep whilst being aware. If you did this another time you might WILD.

I am also interested. Also, you shouldn't be scared. What you were experiencing is what you're supposed to be trying to achieve to WILD. Being able to feel no connection to your body is actually pretty cool feeling. I've experienced it myself and it feels as if you lose all your troubles along with your body.

Try again and don't stop when you feel those sensations again. If you keep going you should WILD.

If this was a transition into going into WILD, does WILD come easier when sleep deprived?
Because, this was my first time ever trying a lucid dream, I wasn't even going for a WILD. The night before I fell asleep between 12 and 3, woke up at 3, and couldn't go back to sleep. Maybe I was going into WILD from being overly tired?
