      Howdy from a Spaztic Dreamer

      Hello Dream Views,

I've known about lucid dreaming for quite some years now. It's always been an amazing concept to me. Such a wonderful thing the brain is, to allow us to create a literal dream world. I would think this would be enough motivation for myself. However, despite lucid dreaming being as amazing as it is, my motivation and will to do it has been off and on throughout the years.

      In other words, I'm lazy.

I used to write my dreams in a journal religiously when I was younger. I was successful in recalling 2-4 dreams a night and experienced a few lucid dreams, enough to realize that all my lucid dreams start off with me "waking up" in a dream bed.

Now I can only remember my dreams if I actively say to myself before bed, "Remember your dream!" Hopefully joining this site will keep my motivation up and my laziness down. Another motivation factor is a goal of shape-shifting into animals in my dreams. Some people might find it odd, but I really want to experience being different animals. I've had countless dreams of being something I'm not; sharks, birds, dogs, wolves, dolphins, etc. Only one lucid dream of being an animal, however, and it didn't last long. So that's my active goal right now... aside from getting my recall back up.

Enough rambling. Happy to be here.

Oh, we're totally gonna be BFFs.

Here's a complimentary plateful of copypasta:

Puffin's Beginner's Guide To Lucid Dreaming is a great place to start learning about lucid dreams. You should also browse the Tutorial section when you get the chance, it's full of information, tips, and in-depth guides. On top of that, you can also visit the DV Academy for further guidance - the DVA Professors will teach you everything you'll ever need to know about lucid dreaming.

You might also want to get into the habit of performing reality checks (maybe two or three) throughout your day, you'll eventually start doing them in dreams and become lucid. I usually count my fingers but feel free to look up other methods and see which works best for you. I'd also recommend keeping a dream journal; regularly recording your dreams is a great way to improve to improve recall and you'll be able to notice common themes and patterns which can further help you attain lucidity.

We also have an off-topic section as well where you can discuss anything from books, movies, tv shows, philosophy, current events, etc so be sure to visit that part of the forum as well. If you ever get bored or need to kill time, visit Senseless Banter. It's full of nonsensical threads like forum games and the SB frequenter's are a friendly bunch so feel free to drop in sometime. We also have an IRC Chat Server which can be found near the top of the forum index. 'tis lulz.

Also, you're always welcome to PM either no-Name or I if you'd like to see pictures of our tits.

I'm lazy aswell, but I managed to make it a daily routine and now I'm hooked. Try to find the kind of motivation that works for you. If you feel like you want to compete against someone or yourself, then do it. Make a bet, reach a goal or something like that. If you remind yourself daily of it all and think of the possibilities, I'm sure you will be hooked aswell.
