you can call me haven, for now

Hello Dreamview denizens, yinz can call me Haven, i'm a new poster after a bit of lurking, i was referred by a long time lurker.

I'm about 20 years old, and i'm an artist, just booted from art school a few months back, wherein i completely lost it (having been an artist and drawing since 3 on, and going to the school i had always wanted to go). i was crazy depressed, somewhat like i am now (only this time its chick problems, caused by one of the many trials i will face in the path of becoming service to others i suppose. irrelevant anyway, this is the only place i can talk about it though, thanks for putting up with it) anyhoo, i started looking for answers, and found them in the form of certain things i had always known to be true on the backburner of my mind, now becoming validated information. in essence it was a paradigm shift, but the point is now my main intrest lies in astral projection, OBE, and lucid dreaming. i like the term rogue scholar, i cant remember where i heard it, but i feel like it describes what i've been doing lately.

I've been doing energy work lately, and i've been close to a conscious-exit projection twice, but no shadow memory download. as far as LD's go, my dad taught me a technique when i was about 4 to wake up from bad dreams. he just told me to look at my hands and say 123, wake up! and it worked every time but once.

i smoke a lot pot, and i havent remembered my dreams in a while, except for lately, after the paradigm shift, and when theyre strong. or about her. man this girl knows i'll remote view to protect her and she still strings me along...

haha but thats not what this is about. i'm just here to introduce myself, and maybe get some sound advice.

      thanks for taking the time!

Nice dude! Everyone has a low point where they get a clean slate. I had mine, and it seems to me that you had yours! I don't know if your fiening for lucid dreams just yet, but I'm sure you'll get hooked sooner or later. To help you out, check out the user tutorials located on the home page and in the DreamViews Wiki. KingYoshi, an influential member of the Dreamview community, has written a very helpful and useful guide on a practice called All Day Awareness. Here is the link, you can check it out if you wish. After I practiced it, I had 3 lucid dreams in a row.

thanks, i just dedicated a little blank sketchbook for use as a dream journal, well see how it goes. i've heard having some lucid dreaming experince can help with AP, so im going to learn everything i can. i cant wait to fly :D

Edit: and i'm far from being anything worthy of being called heaven, i used to be a somewhat criminal.

Well AP and lucid dreaming are really almost the same thing so theres no reason for you not to be able to, but that is how I do most of my APs.

I think APs are more, special? I don't know the word I'm searching for, and yeah, I think entering them through LDing is the easiest way, personally

I've Heard you can project right from lucid dreams, but i feel like if one projected from a dream, there would be the likelyhood that the things theyre experiencing in the projection might come from the dream mind. like dreaming about a projection. from what i've gathered about most methods of AP, the idea is to get in and out before you even start dreaming.

Well, there are other methods, like focusing on your third eye, or visualizing a white beam of light, but I've never heard of LD->AP before. Interesting...
