Hey welcome to Dreamviews! Glad your back into lucid dreaming and made an account |
|
Hi Dreamviews, I just wanted to introduce myself. I've been around the forums for a while without an account, and decided it was time to get myself one. A while ago I was getting quite good at lucid dreaming, but I got sidetracked and forgot about it - then I thought "Why on earth am I not lucid dreaming anymore?". I couldn't find an answer, so here I am trying to get back into the swing of it. |

Hi Ikkalebob, welcome to Dreamviews! |

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

sounds okay to me. but how will you wake up in the middle of the night and switch positions? |
|
Hmmm... I read that a WILD is done best with a 2-4 second alarm that turns itself off after it had finished, but I don't know if that would be the best idea. |
|
Hi and welcome to DV..thats usually the way i do it, do you always wake in the night? i do ..everynight i usually wake about 4 times without alarms or anything and this enables me to WILD with a tweak, or usually i wake up to SP which takes me right into a lucid without even trying |

LUCID GOALS
1) Meet DG
2) Speak with my Granparents
3) Ride a Unicorn
4) Board the Titanic ((changed with thanks to Caretaker))
I've never heard that one's sleeping position can actually affect the vividness (or lucidity) of dreams before! I totally know what you mean, by being able to fall asleep easily in whatever position you're in. If laying on your back gives you vivid dreams and lucidity, although I'm totally unsure as to how a sleeping position can raise your awareness to the point of being lucid, then by all means keep doing it! Maybe it has to do with the fact that, although you're physically tired, you're subconsciously more aware when you're on your back because it's normally an uncomfortable position for you. |

If you're comfortable on your back, yes, it might be easier to enter SP in the supine (back) position. However, if you're trying out a WILD attempt on your back and you're not comfortable in that position, that will make it much harder because the point of a WILD is to relax and forget about your physical body. Kinda hard to do that if you're constantly feeling like you want to move or are uncomfortable. |

well then that is good news for me! ive been trying to get into SP on my back but giving up and going on my side and just falling asleep! |
|
I find that it's extremely easy for me to enter SP while on my side. Sometimes I can get it on my stomach, and I've never once gotten it on my back. |

I don't know if this method is listed but What helps me actually fall asleep faster no matter if I'm tired or not Is i tighten my muscles all at the same time and hold my breath i only release when i cant hold my breath longer. After that its best not to move at all any itching or tickling feelings are your body testing to see if your still awake. |
|
Its interesting I always figured it tricked the body into thinking it was tired. |
