my first lucid dream went bad

So it's day two of trying to lucid dream and I've finally controlled the itching and my body parts kicking so I entered my dream I was playing a game and at that time I wasn't aware that I was dreaming, then I stood up realised I was in my room with dim lights and that's when I realised I was dreaming - I got exited but then I remembered that if I looked in the mirror I wouldn't see myself (I've read that somewhere) anyway so I got scared and tried to wake myself up in which I ''woke'' in my bed but everything was blurry and I couldn't really move so I thought to myself I must still be dreaming then I called out that I wanted to wake up and I woked up - so a really strange first time next time I think I'm gonna try to stay in the dream and just avoid mirrors for the time being

Hey congrats on your first lucid dream!

Your really lucky for having your just on the second day, and the mirror thing isn't true. I usually see my dream body, which is similar to mine in real life. Some people see distorted figures of their body, while some can see nothing at all, But you don't always see nothing. Anyway keep it up, and you lucid dreams will get better and better!

Nice job having one so quickly

Hmmm, usually people say they see something scary in mirrors in dreams.
Anywho, you just need to stabilize, you might have woken into a "false awakening" but I'm not sure, or you just woke up and stayed still. Sometimes weird mishaps like that happen just try to stabilize the dream before starting to do things.

      good luck~

thanks for the replies it soothes my mind abit that I'm not gonna see the girl from the grudge in the mirror I guess the quick lucid dream was 'cause of my cat it was laying between my legs which kept me from moving :p and me and my mom have always shared dreams which eachother making it easier for me to remember a dream. I just never thought they could be controlled

      Congrats on your first lucid!
I am also scared of mirrors and tend to try to avoid them, mainly at night in fear seeing a face staring back at me that is not my own.
However, they cannot harm you in dreams. Dreams are of your own and yours to control, forever! mwauahaha!
