      Lightbulb Am I doing it?

      Hi,
      I'm new here and I just started reading a lot about lucid dreaming. I wanted to try it so I started reading how to do it and what to expect when I was doing it and how to know I was doing it. My problem I guess is that everything I read to expect is how I already dream and how I've dreamed my whole life. Examples:
      -I've always been able to control my dreams
      -Always dreamed in color
      -Always can tell I'm dreaming without reality checks
      I can even remember a lot of dreams I've had throughout my life that were very very vivid. My question is, am I just having vivid dreams or am I LDing without even knowing it?

      Hi Brittny, welcome to Dreamviews!

      The definition of a lucid dream is knowing that you are dreaming while you are dreaming. In your post you say you know when your dreaming without reality checks. It sounds like your a natural lucid dreamer, born with the ability to lucid dream.
      Most people dream without knowing they are dreaming or without any control whatsoever. You are very lucky!
