      Stuck in a dream!

I always dream alot!!. About 5 years ago I had my first Lucid dream..it was work related and very real. I realized that I was dreaming when what I was doing in the dream was not possible as I had sold the equipment a year before... anyway since then I have had a few lucid dreams, but always woke up just as it got interesting.

This morning was very different. I got stuck in the dream. I realized I was lucid dreaming and for the first time I took control I became super human, could bend stuff, change people into other forms..all sorts of stuff. I felt it was time to exit the dream as it was getting out of hand and got STUCK!! I could not escape the dream. I tryed all sorts of ways to get out..but was Stuck.

I only woke when the alarm went off...and had to bang my head to feel the pain to see I was not still in the dream.

How do you exit a dream when you want to?

      Welcome to Dreamviews, Ozone!

I'm pressed for time right now, but I'll try to say as much as I can. First, next time try doing a reality check like plugging your nose and trying to breathe through it; you can sometimes feel pain in dreams. If you want to wake up from a dream, you can think of your physical body lying in bed - this will either wake you up, or produce a false awakening, which is a stable dream in which you're in your bed. You can also close your eyes and forget everything around you, which can also destabilize the dream. Be sure to do a reality check after "waking" to make sure you're not still in a dream.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
