      Turbulent start to lucid dreaming?

Hi I've had 2 lucid dreams in the last week.. In both of them, I became really excited and woke up, only the most recent one was quite alarming.

I was in a plane (one of my dream signs) and the right wing fell off. I realised it was a dream due to the unrealistic way the wing just fell off. I didn't remember to do a reality check, but I absolutely knew it was a dream, and anyway things started happening very fast. Somehow I ended up outside the plane, and started to rocket upwards at very high speed, I became engulfed in bright light, then an incredibly loud voice told me I would die that morning!

I woke up in my bed at this point, feeling quite alarmed, and also wondering why the dream turned out like that? Any thoughts?

Also, has anyone else had similar rough times at the early stage I am at?

      Best,

      Jimmy

      Hi jimbo91, Welcome to Dreamviews!

Usually the first lucid dreams are quite rough, and the dreamers ends up waking in less then a minute. You need to learn how to stabilize the dream. You can read the Dream Stabilization tutorial right here.

If you have any more questions feel free to PM me.

Hi there, welcome to Dreamviews! I think it's pretty obvious why you woke up, you were "alarmed" or "scared". Always remember that it's just a dream. Try to be calm and don't get too much excited because being excited will surely wake you up. Hope this helps
