Question Lucid noobie having trouble WILDing

So I'm a complete LD noob and last night I simply layed down flat in my bed and I tried a method where you count as you inhale, and tell yourself you're dreaming when you exhale. I got to the point where I was feeling really strange and weird shakes not just in my body but as if there was an earthquake and my bed was swaying back and forth, but then as soon as I start to think about it and like "oh shit this is cool" and then it fades.

I can also get to the point where I start feeling like I'm sinking in my bed, and last night was able to paralyze my entire body, and I even can achieve the noise effects where it sounds like you are rushing through wind or on a train or something, but I always seem to stay semi-awake and never really fall into an LD at all.

It feels like I'm right there but then something keeps me from transitioning from sleep paralysis to an LD.

BTW I'm doing this first thing at night when I go to bed, and I literally have no free/extra time to experiment in the mornings or try a timer or anything so I really NEED to get the WILD method down.

Any help is greatly appreciated thank you!!!!!!

Yeah, sounds like sleep paralysis. No, it is sleep paralysis.

It would help if you do the WBTB(it would raise your chance of having an LD by maybe 50% i think) method before attempting to WILD. To WBTB(short for wake back to bed), you need an alarm clock. Set it to ring maybe 5-6 hours from the time you started to slept. After setting the alarm, sleep like what you normally do. After the said 5-6 hours, you will be probably awakened by the alarm of the clock. Now that you're awake, try to stay awake for 20 minutes(I normally stay awake for maybe 3-5 minutes then go back to bed). After 20 minutes, go back to bed and attempt to WILD. I'm sure it would be more successful.
