Thread: umm... i have a question

okay, so I told my mom about lucid dreaming and everything. to be honest, she thinks it's weird, but i don't care.

anyway, she thinks it might be bad because it interferes with the natural purpose of dreaming (to organize your thoughts you had throughout the day and stuff...)

Does anyone know if this is true?

I don't know much about dreaming and sleeping and all that, well more then most of the people, just like anyone on this site. So I'm safe to say(I hope) that it's definitely not bad, your mum just doesn't understand it so she writes it of immediately as a bad thing. My father's the same, only a bit more worse which I find annoying.

No it's not true, lucid dreaming is completely safe.

People hate and fear what they don't understand. Don't worry, lucid dreaming is quite safe.

It's not true. No one has actually proven the purpose of dreams. There are also people that lucid dream every night and they are not adversely effected. Just show your mom some of the research around lucid dreaming and maybe you can convince her that it is safe.
