Hi there. I think I need help.

Hello. I'm WildHamster, and I think I'm having a problem with my dreaming.

I started practicing lucid dreaming on Sunday night. I worked on MILD and over the first few days, I did remember my dreams. I wrote them down in a journal I wasn't using, and for those first few days, it worked.

But now, over the last two nights, I can't remember them. I did the verbal commands on both nights, and I looked over my dream journal, but I've awakened without remembering anything or even recalling if I even had a dream. Which is rather strange considering I woke up the first few days recalling enough to put down in my journal. Now I can't remember anything about what I dreamed up last night. I lost my memory on Wednesday night, if that helps.

What I'm wondering is this: Is it normal? Or is something going on which is keeping me from remembering? And is there a solution to the problem?

I'd love to hear other's thoughts on this. If you know something about it, or have had this kind of experience before, let me know.

      Thanks.

This is normal. I wouldn't worry too much about it, just keep trying. Don't worry about how it hasn't been working for a few days, just keep being sure that you will remember them now. Belief in yourself is, for whatever reason, essential when doing these things.

I can sympathize as well. My recall has been a little shoddy recently when it's usually excellent.

First of all, welcome to Dreamviews! It's great you're starting to work on your recall.

Don't worry, you don't have to have perfect recall every night. When you are first beginning to try to improve your recall, you usually forget dreams some nights. Before you go to bed tell yourself: I will remember all my dreams in vivid detail.

      Anyway good luck!

Don't worry about a little dry spell. We all have off days. Stay confident and keep trying.

Hey, thanks for the replies guys!

Anyway, I managed to have a dream last night. Possibly two. Now, I could only remember bits and pieces of them, but it is a good sign. Maybe next time I'll put mancon's mnemonic to work.

      Thanks!
