I just found out about this forum a little while ago. many internet forums are kinda boring or full of rude people but yall seem pretty chill and fun. so I guess I will hang around here now and again.

im sortof new to lucid dreaming. one time as a young child I had a brief lucid dream by accident, and thought it was pretty cool but didnt know there was a name for it obviously. then later in life I became interested in the idea of consciousness expansion, typically through use of psychedelics but eventually I got around to looking into meditation which brought me to the topic of lucid dreaming. since then I have been trying to lucid dream with pretty much no success lol. I havnt been putting much effort into it thus far but I plan on trying harder as of now. there were a couple a times recently when I had some semi-lucid dreams but woke up quickly after. by semi lucid I mean I was vaguely aware that I was dreaming but It did not really occur to me that I could do whatever I wanted I was just like oh this is a dream, thats cool

uhm so yeah I just wanted to say hi pretty much. I have read alot of the tutorials already so I kinda have an idea of what I should be doing. I would like to ask if anyone here has ever gotten a WILD on the first try or not. if someone says yes that will be pretty motivating. cuz so far I have only tried that a few times but everytime I do I just get tired and give up and let myself fall asleep...

also im just curious why the forum rules say not to post anything sexually oriented yet dream sex seems to be one of the most popular topics.....?

I really cant wait to start lucid dreaming on a regular basis. I want to have OBEs and all that sort of thing. but I think the first time I become lucid (with control) im probably gonna go with a starwars thing and start throwing the force lightning on people. cuz im weird like that...

your off to a good start with reading the tutorials so thats good. Just keep on trying and read other peoples techniques while creating your own variations and you'll be there in a blast!

Hey changingcolors, welcome to Dreamviews!
Lucid dreaming comes easy to some people; for others it may take some practice, so there's no real set amount of time before you attain an LD using a certain technique. As far as WILDing is concerned, it's considered one of the more difficult techniques as it involves a certain level of mental discipline and the ability to stay aware without going unconscious before entering a dream - but who's saying you can't learn? Myself, I sucked at WILDing at first but with a lot of practice, I got my first one after a month of trying. DILD is easier in my opinion; I got my first one the night I joined this site. But as I said before, everyone is different.

And you can definitely post about sex; it's not a taboo topic around here or anything. You just can't go too much into "details", if you know what I mean.

Throwing lightforce stuff at people? Maybe in a way. Lucid Dreams are precious, They give you the chances to fly and be free and lose all your fears, so maybe they are about using the light to enlighten yourself, and then of course, make the offering for all? Does seem a precious dream, doesn't it?
