From what I can remember in my own experiences, I usually couldn't throw a punch to save my life (Literally!

). My hand moved painfully slow through the air and would barley register as a feather if it hit anything/anyone. I've never had that problem with my legs or while jumping but I imagine it's because of the same reason. I could throw punches all I wanted once I got more used to stabilizing my dreams more. Spinning never worked for me and usually threw me into a false awakening, however, engaging your sense in the dream are the absolute best way to stabilize them. Smell the air, feel your dream body, hear all the sounds around, and even taste if it's appropriate. Hopefully that will help you gain better control over your body. Good luck!
