Hello could I get some help?

I have been trying to WILD for a while and these are the steps I took.
1.set my alarm six hours later.
      2.go to sleep
      3. wake up then relax with my eyes closed and think about dreaming

I am having a problem where I close my eyes but instead of a light show in the back of my eyelids it is just pure black for a loong time. Should i try longer?

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

How long was the WILD attempt itself? It sounds like you're basically doing the right things, so it could be that you just need to keep practicing it. The light show you're seeing comes with the early stages of a WILD, so it's a good sign. I think if you had kept relaxing and waited, you may have gotten further.

Sounds like you're doing it right! Maybe you should try waking up at a different time in the night?

Also not everyone sees a light show while attempting a WILD. Some hear sounds, see dream scenes, etc. If you have the time, check out my WILD guide. Good luck!

This is like DEILD, or "CAN-WILD"
Does your alarm automatically turn off after a set amount of time? try to use one with that feature, it's much easier

Personally I try to wake myself up after 4.5-5 hours after sleep, this lands you in a better REM period in my opinion.
      How long are you waiting?
      Are you moving at all?

If it is a DEILD or CANWILD then you are not supposed to move when you wake up. If it is a normal wild you can
