Looks like a classic case of BHE (black hole effect). It's when you try a wild for what feels like ten minutes, but really you slip in an out of consciousness every so often and lose time. It's annoying but you'll eventually get it. Good luck! |

This has happened to me in a recent WILD attempt. You get so relaxed and not as focused and then you just loose consciousness and fall asleep but with no REM. But it seems like ten minutes. |

You can remain aware through all stages of sleep, but they do not all lead to a lucid dream. From your description, it sounds like you were aware through some alpha wave sleep, or something similar. If you did the exact same thing during a REM cycle, you probably would have launched into some seriously amazing sh*t. |

You were on your way to a nice Lucid Dream, just remember to let yourself fall asleep while passively remaining aware. Don't focus on the WILD, but more or less passively observe the stages of sleep unfurling around you. The trick is to remain aware enough so that you won't fall unconscious, but also to allow yourself to fall asleep. |
