Smile Going to Lucid Dream today!

Well... i am new. And i am going to try a lucid dream. How to have full control in one and can i like uh... see my GF in the dream, and do her movements for her like i do in dreams? And... how do i wakt up and go back to real life? If my mother wakes me up, is that enough?

For most people, just think about your real body and you will return there.

Hope it helped, and good luck

      Hi and welcome!

      Good luck tonight, my friend!

And... how do i wakt up and go back to real life?
It's actually pretty easy. When I was small, I only had to blink a few times for waking up. But a lucid dream ends, just like every other normal dream. So don't worry, you'll wake up just like you always do.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! People are very friendly in here.

Good luck, and happy (lucid) dreams!

No you're not. Lucidity on command is not an easy feat. For most people inducing their first intentional lucid can take weeks or months. You need to train your dream recall so you can actually remember your dreams to begin with through keeping a dream journal and recognize dream signs to avoid false awakenings. This will require perseverance and work on your part. I suggest you read up a little to prepare yourself. There's a sticky right at the top of the forum titled The Beginner's Guide to Lucid Dreaming which is a very nice beginner's guide. This website is packed with information and the chances are that any questions you may want to ask has already been answered. Don't let this repository of knowledge go to waste.

Who knows, maybe you might be lucky and have a lucid dream based on your pure hype alone. It's quite unlikely though, and you might just end up having dreams about wanting to have lucid dreams instead of actual lucid dreams.

When I was starting out, I had a lot of dreams about having lucid dreams.
So often that I turned it into a dream sign, and had a few of my first lucid's like that.

Waking up isn't the hard part, it's getting to sleep in the first place.

      Sweet dreams.

Everything went great! When I began dreaming (Instantly) I already saw that I am in a dream. Then, I did a reality check. I did the one with the nose. Then, I used portals to teleport to my GF. Everything went fine. Then... Did some random teleportations (Hawaii, minecraft...) an then I woke up, just in case. Was as easy as getting lucid. I did the DILD even though most of the time i was lying on my back almost not moving. Anyway... I did it.

EDIT : Oh and also, my mother does not know anything, and I dont make noises. Epic win!

      Excellent work!

I'm going to have to start rethinking some of my self imposed limitations now.

That wasn't hard! That was really fun. But... how to look at my hands in a lucid dream? Yes, when i touch something i see my hands, but how to JUST look at them? :3

If there was a way then there wouldn't be any other forum except for Beyond dreaming and lucid experiences. If there was an answer, then lucid dreaming would be as easy as that answer, as all you need do is look at your hand 99% of the time.

Well, since you know you will, it is wise to plan ahead. What many people have done, me included is compile a list, a to do list. Or, when you are in a dream you can try to interact with whatever's there. Such as if you are in a city, try leaping from buildings and stuff, falling off them or smashing through walls.

There is also a thread around here that's called "1000 things to do in a lucid dream". It is well over 2500 now, so check that out for ideas too. Really it's just up to you.

I admire your confidence, but you do know you can't always just decide when you are going to have them? It would be crushing if you did and all of a sudden it doesn't work, plus confidence alone won't help you that much.

Definitely, everyone should have a dream journal. Fill it with every lucid, doesn't matter how bad they were, and even throw in some dreams as well.

You need ask? Participating in any way with things on DV or just lucid dreaming in general is always a good thing. Unless someone suggests something you don't morally agree with or seems dangerous in some way, but that goes without saying.

Get immersed in this, it's the best way to rise to the top.
