      Hello everyone!

      Hi there,

My name is Ronni, and I discovered this site a few days ago - so I figured I'd sign up and start actively taking part in the community.

I read about Lucid dreaming a few years ago, since I often (a few times a month) seem to have dreams, in which I realize that I'm dreaming.
I never got around to training my ability to lucid dream though, I hope that will change with discovering this community.

Although I sometimes realize that I am in a dream, I have never had a truly lucid dream, and have never been able to alter, or affect the contents of my dreams (that I know of).
It often feels like I just watch the events unfold.

Either way, I have been trying the WILD technique before going to bed - even though most people do not recommend it for beginners, but it seemed a nice way to relax as well.
So far (2 nights) I have been unsuccessful, and thought I'd try CrazyInsanes method (auto-snooze alarm going off in the middle of the night) tonight. If I can find an app that auto-shuts the alarm that is.

Anyway, nice to meet you all, I hope to get to know some of you better, and get started on my lucid dreaming journey!

      ~A

      Hey Ronni,

I'm new here too. I've tried my hand at lucid dreaming on and off for a while now, but I'm ready to put a ton of work into it to become a successful Oneironaut. I haven't had had many LD's yet, but I have had a few.

I always tried to learn the WILD technique because I wanted to be able to have an LD on command, but I can guarantee you that your time is better spent working on the other methods first. I'm just now going back to the basics after being frustrated from trying to WILD. Lol, it's difficult. This site really inspired my to try again though, so maybe I'll have some luck from the support of DV members.

      Hi there, Ronni
Whenever you realize that you're in a dream, THAT'S a lucid dream. Altering and controlling your dreams is a part of dream control.
Anyway, good luck with your lucid dreams and hope you see you around more

Any questions about lucid dreaming? Drop me a PM here!

      Hej Ronni, og velkommen!
Godt at se nogle danskere der interesserer sig for lucid dreams, jeg synes ikke der er så mange.

Anyway, so the others can understand it:
Congratulations on the lucid dreams, and good luck with WILD!
Have any questions? Feel free to ask!

      Good luck and happy dreams!

Thank you, from what i can tell, this is a community of dedicated and enthusiastic people who share a common goal - I really think I will enjoy my time here.

I think Lucid dreaming is a difficult topic to approach, as everything that is written about it seems so abstract, when one has not yet had the experience.
Also, it seems finding the right "method" for oneself can be a somewhat long journey, but I am sure I will be able to do my utmost in learning more about dreaming.

I put the danish part below, as to avoid being a bother to non-danish-speakers.

Thank you for the offer, I have seen some of your posts, and they're quite good.
For now though, I think it's important to try to find a method that suits me, since my problem currently (I believe) is not focusing too much on "anchors"
