Well you were lucid like ninja said because you were aware of the fact that you were dreaming. But you had low awareness which can happen, especially if it was your first lucid dream. Now I'm not sure if many other people experience what you described, but you aren't alone I get this a lot and it can be quite frustrating. If you want this to stop you can re affirm that you are in a dream and not real life when you get lucid. You can do this by shouting, " this is a dream!", something like that that involves re assuring yourself. You can also stabilize the dream, check out the tutorial on dream stabilization here
