      5th lucid and some questions

      Hey folks,

This moringing I had my fifth lucid dream! I remembered to RC for the first time too! I did the hand-finger RC and my finger went through my right hand like butter. It was awesome! I did the nose one too and that feeling may have been even more amazing. Then after that I rubbed my hands together a few times to stablize. I think I am getting the hang of this!

I got a couple questions though.

I had this dream after waking up from an alarm I set for a WILD attempt. I layed still for like 20 minutes and decided to quit because I was really tired. My body though was doing something completly new. It was twitching all over. Head to toe and forcefully, not little twitchs. Was I getting close to something? SP?

Also, what do I call this? Was this a WILD lucid? A WBTB lucid? What did I do/have?

I feel like I ask these kinds of questions too much, but I'm new to all this stuff. Hope I'm not a bother.

Hello there! Congrats on the lucid! Hope it was fun.

You sir had a DILD. Which is a Dream Induced Lucid Dream. It was paired with a WBTB. But it was a DILD because it involved you doing the reality check in the middle of the dream. As to what you described, that sounds like sleep paralysis to me! It probably was beginning of but you gave up too early for it to fully set in. Next time you try a WILD, make sure you lay there for more than 20 minutes. 20 minutes is definitely not enough time, an hour might be good. Or even a few hours. WILDs can take a while and you should be prepared to give them some time to work. Also when you get the twitches, just try laying there calmly and don't get to worried about it.

You aren't a bother! That's what the forum is for man! Post all you want sir! We are more than happy to help!

      Good luck! Hope this helps.

Just what I was going to say.
I tried WILDing this morning gave up, I think I did'nt give it enough time. A little tingling in my hands, nothing too much.
For this not to be completely off-topic, I agree with Kona.
      Gz on your 5th lucid.

Thanks guys for you advice. I see Fin, one of your goals is to stablize an LD perfectly. How much time in a dream do you spend stablizing because it feels like I only spend like 5 seconds unless that's because my brain is working faster or something. The LD feels great, but the scenery sometimes is blurry or quick or something I dunno. I like randomly in the middle of something will stablize too, its weird. Any advice on stablizing?

Congrats on your LD! It sounds like a DILD to me, yep. The finger through the hand RC is my favorite, btw. Also, if I were you, I'd look into MILD. Because it sounds like thinking about LDing before you fell asleep is what really got you lucid. So you can do MILD and then WILD on top. Just a suggestion.

I really recommend this, whenever I am returning to sleep (whether it's bedtime or WBTB or from a brief awakening) I MILD, for the past couple of weeks I've been having lucid dreams after WILD attempts even if my WILD failed (which is all of them, I still haven't succeeded )

@Prancingwolf: Naiya has done a great guide on how to MILD http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/naiyas...0/#post1708074

Thank you, Naiya! So, after WBTB think about LDing - MILD, will help? I heard it raises the probability of becoming lucid by like 30%. That dream was like an hour later. Does that still count? I thought it had to be right away.

I had another lucid today using my WBTB+Mantra. I read your guide, Naiya, and I'm a liitle confused. Are we MILDing to increase the odds of a DILD? Does a MILD happen imediatly because my dreams are like 30-60 minutes after I wake from the WBTB+Mantra.

It's all in the name, you are mnemonically inducing a DILD, you're reminding yourself to become lucid in a dream, it may not make sense, but it works.
