      what am i doing wrong?

i tried WILDing this morning and followed the exact instructions of lots of peoples guides and i didnt get anywhere. i also tried a LD last night and i just ended up having a normal dream not remembering much of it. so if people could tell me what im doing wrong or some techniques id be very grateful!

remember, you cant get it right on the first time, well you can, but it takes some practice. remember to not move at all and stay consious. Also, you never told what what you did, so how cam we know what you did wrong

Well, just try harder and more frequently. WILDS are difficult for some people, and for others, much easier.

Hey Superdale56, can I have some more information on what you experienced when you did the technique?
Make sure you were relaxed and in REM (Wake back to bed after 4.5/6 hours)

I was relaxed and not moving my mind flowing thinking about random things. There was like a screen at the top of my eyes displaying loads of objects and dragging them down to examine them also sometimes random pictures appeared faintly in the background with the screen still there, and the LD i had REALLY long hair and i was messing about with it like OMG but i couldnt control what i was doing then i woke up

      Hello there.

You need to know that you aren't always going to have a WILD the first time you try it. It takes a lot of people here several attempts to have one. You shouldn't get disappointed if you attempt a lucid dream and don't have one because that is what happens when you practice lucid dreaming. But if you fail then you try again and again, before you know it you will have a lucid dream.

As for the lucid dream it sounds like you had a low awareness lucid dream. This happens a lot to newcomers and happened to me a ton when I first started. But once you start having more lucid dreams your mind will get more used to the lucid dream state and the more aware you will be.

Don't get discouraged, keep it up!

Pm me about any lucid dreaming related questions you have!

I had a WILD while attempting Astral Projection using the rope technique. Maybe try doing some AP techniques.

When I started I kept a little piece of paper under my pillow that said "I will have a lucid dream tonight" it seemed to stick in my subconscious mind while falling asleep. WILD's are tough, I would just try to start out with LD by waking up a couple hours early then going back to sleep. Also during the day be sure to do your reality checks (everyday) by either checking the time or jumping up in the air (kind silly, but works) to check to see if your dreaming. If you do this everyday, eventually you'll remember to do this while dreaming and either you will not be able to tell what time it is or you wil float when jumping. hope this helps and good luck
