Had a WILD without trying? My first experience....

      Hi,

I had a very strange experience lastnight. I woke up at 4am for the bathroom, then went back to bed. When I went back to bed I was thinking about LD's etc as I was trying to fall asleep. I wasn't trying to WILD but this happened....

I went into Sleep paralysis mode. At first I remember thinking "oh quick snap out of it" like I always do, then I remembered that you can get into LD from Sleep paralysis. So I tried to make myself fall asleep a little more (don't know how I managed this but it happened).

Well the next thing I knew I felt these vibrations that everyone is talking about, it was like my whole head was shaking violently but it was still at the same time? It was VERY strange. I started to get a little scared by this stage and I remember trying to move my toe but nothing happened. I could also hear all these sounds, I really can't describe what they were actually I can't really remember what they were but I remember hearing sounds.

Then I started to get these images flashing past my eyes like at 100 miles an hour. They were like images from a comic book or something, they were white images of people etc but they only had black outlines and no colour. Anyway I remember choosing to go with one of the images (they were moving so fast but I still managed to select one!) and I entered into this scene for a second then I remembered that I could take control of my dream. So I kind of spun around and made everything blank, but when I tried to create a new scene I had a lot of trouble doing so. It was all kind of hazy or something. I could amost see the images but not quite enough (hard to explain really).

Anyway I must of tried too hard because then I woke up. I have never experienced anything like this before and I hope to do it again. I haven't even really been trying, I just think it happened purely because I have been reading how to do it etc. So when I actually really try let's hope I get some great results!

Sorry for the long post, just wanted to share my story and see if anyone has similiar experiences.

Congradulations Eloura.. The first Wild is always a very memorable event. You have went through the entire phase and you didn't break your concentration not even once. Im proud of you. This is great because usually once you encounter your first the next ones after that will be a sinch. I do have some helpful hints for ya. The flashing creations that were zooming by you can slow these down mentally, because if you're entering your created dream without clarity then thats what you're gonna pretty much end up with a very fuzzy picture. If you are in the dream without clarity then just yell out "High Level Lucidity" and the picture will come in clearer. Give that a try next time or even yell out "Lucid Clearness" and you should create a sharper image for youself . But your experience was fun and exciting to read I wish you luck in the future with future WILD's Because going into an LD from WILD gives you more control over the dream content I found out. Good Luck and keep up the great work...

Yeah congrats!!! You basically did a WBTB sort of WILD. Unintentional WILDs are great...I love them when they happen.

I know exactly what you are talking about as far as the sounds, the violent shaking/vibrating..it can all be a bit daunting at first. I'm glad you remembered to try to LD instead of trying to get out of SP (I never did understand why anyone would want to get out of SP ) and aren't those images trippy as hell? It's great what the mind can create.

You made it very far...soooo close to lucid dream it sounds like, if only you could have followed that imagery a bit longer it would have lifted you up and placed you right into a nice lucid dream. Good luck...I suggest you try this again...and this time, on purpose!

I always get unintentional WILDs, but I can never do them when I try.
      Life is but a dream....
