      Hello there!

      Hello everyone! I have been a "lurker" around the forums for a while now. I finally joined but then still put off actually posting anything. I am pretty shy in person (when first meeting people), but apparently am just as shy when it comes to posting things online. So I am hoping that I can overcome my shyness and start to post more because you guys seem like a nice fun group of people!

      I have had about 5 lucid dreams so far. They seem to come pretty easily for me as long as I am focused on trying to lucid dream. Then I start getting lazy or just distracted with school and it completely leaves my thoughts. My lucid dreams have been really amazing so I hope that I experience many more! Also it will be nice to have people to share them with since most people look at me like I am crazy

      School distracts me and it does affect my lucid count, I found I had particular success with the MILD technique when at school.

      No need to be shy, everybody here is nice and helpful, no matter what questions you may have.

      I also tend to forget RCing during the day, although I think of LDs all the time So I leave myself little sticky notes around the house as reminders to RC. They help me to remember even when I don't look at them - you don't want to get used to doing and RC only when you see the reminder, so you don't wait in your dreams for them in order to become lucid.

      Welcome! It's great that you've already had some lucids, you'll be well on your way to your lucid count skyrocketing! Make sure to stick to your journalling, it is one of your most powerful tools

      Thanks everyone, I feel very welcome already Arch- I did get on the IRC a while back, but of course the conversation was very random so I didnt say much other than just ... "hi" haha But I will definitely try again sometime and hopefully be able to chime in with something.

      gab- That is a great idea, I have definitely thought about that, but I guess I feel like people will think i'm crazy with all these notes everywhere haha. I've never been good with consistent RC but instead just focusing on doing RC when something seems off. Works alright, except of course when the dream is fairly normal

      Dark_Merlin- Thanks, I really hope that is true I know the journal is really amazing. I was remembering a dream almost every night for two weeks, and then I looked over my dreams for "dream signs" and immediately that night I had a lucid! I just have to keep up with it and make sure I at least have good dream recall.
