      Attemps to WILD

      Hi

Sorry for the lots of post of maybe already covered threads, but I need to explain what exactly I've experienced in order to understand if I'm doing things the right way.

I've never had a LD so far, but after reading a lot of posts, I realized that the technique I used was WILD.

I think that what I was doing wrong was that I was trying to wild directly after going to sleep (not after waking up before a REM period).

However, I have still felt a lot of strange sensations. One of them is that after I relax my body, I could feel REALLY relaxed, so much, that I actually felt my body vibrating in synch with my pulse.

Let me clarify what I mean by vibrating: Do you know what it feels like when you are sitting in an uncomfortable position and after a while your leg falls asleep? Then after standing up you feel a sudden rush of blood going through your leg. I could feel this rush pulsating the entire time through my whole body. And what is even weirder is that I could actually control it. For example, if I focused on my left leg, I could feel the vibration concentrating on it. Then If I focus on the other leg, I can feel the vibrations going away from the left leg and concentrating on the right one. I could do this with every part of my body.

I think that I've kinda mastered the relaxation technique, I've never felt so relaxed before. Tonight I'm going to try the CANWILD technique and relax that way. I really feel like I'm closer than ever.

Has anyone felt the same exact thing when trying to relax for a SP?

      Hi there my friend,
It's natural for a person to feel such effects while attempting to WILD. Though I haven't experienced such effect in my attempts, I know this guy here in DV who said he felt "needles were stinging his legs" while attempting a WILD. So it's safe to say that you're not alone my friend. Hope this helps

I know exactly what you mean. I get that feeling almost every time I WILD. Those vibrations are very common. It is one of the last things you feel before transitioning to the dream. You were entering REM sleep. Keep doing whatever it is you were doing to cause this. You were very close. I will normally feel two or three waves of these vibrations before I can enter the dream.

Next time you get this feeling, imagine yourself doing something tactile, involving movement and touch. Just pick the first thing that comes to mind. You can even use a recent and familiar memory. It is time to leave your real body and become this new, imagined, dream body.
