Smile My First LD, Quick and Inaccurate - but Amazing :)

Got my first lucid dream today at approximately 6am. It was different from what I thought it is. I thought I've experienced it before but I'm wrong.

The scene started in a faucet in an apartment I'm currently living. At first it's not in a first person view until I realized and told myself I am just dreaming. I felt happy I made it in the first day of attempt but I also felt fear of how I would go out of this dream. As soon as I realized, it seemed that I spin and the view is now a first person view. I have the control of myself now but its slow motion. I did a reality check to make sure. I tried to count my fingers, its too many to count so I am sure by then I was dreaming. I thought of place I want to go to since I gone to sleep, a beautiful beach. Its not clear at first but it becomes clearer as I imagine. It did not turn as expected. The surrounding somehow change a bit as I imagine the good place. The end view is still a beach but somewhat similar to what I use to go in real world, a beach near our house in the province. I imagine beautiful girls to appear. There appears 2 men and 1 woman in beach suit, somehow looked like characters in computer game as their skin do not look just as human. I grab the girl, she looked cute, and started kissing her. I felt the lips like real. I inserted my hand inside her panty suit (that's naughty of me) and I woke up. That was a quick lucid dream but a good start I guess. Maybe I become too excited to have sex with the girl that's why I woke up. I will try to fly next time. Hopefully there is still next time

      Hehe just sharing...

Congratulations on your first lucid dream!

This is a great start. A lot of people wake up as soon as they become lucid for the first time. However, it sounds like you were able to maintain lucidity for quite some time.

Having a lucid dream on your very first attempt is something that rarely happens. How long have you been preparing for this?

      Smile

I actually got interested when I dream of something 2 nights ago. Its been a long time since I had a remembered a dream and I know the trend of my dreams. It comes consecutively in several nights after the first dream. So i decided to search for something to control my dream because I knew this is the right time to do it. I hope this continues hehe its fun. By the way, do you have your dream everyday?

I just read yesterday about different information and techniques. I put it in my mind before going to bed and applied the next night (that's last night). At first I find it hard to make a dream. I wake up at 6am and do something for a while then gone back to sleep. I guess its a combination of WILD and WBTB that worked for me.

I'm happy to accomplish such thing in just first try. I do wish before I could control my dream but did not believe so much that its possible. I was able to have somewhat control my dream once when I was a child but my experience last night was so different.

Can you suggest what next move should I do? How can I prolong the lucidity? I just wake up without sign that i'm gonna wake up.

Don't get to excited. At first, try to take everything in, look around, smell the air, feel the grass. My biggest mistake (like many) on my first lucid was I went straight for sex, seconds after it started I woke up. The next time I calmed myself and looked around and tried other things. Read up on dream stabilization. Stay calm and stay in power.

Everyone dreams around 4 to 6 times per night on average. However, a lot of people don't remember most of them. Personally, right now I'm only able to recall 2 to 3 dreams per night, but that is because I have stopped keeping a dream journal for a while now. When I was still keeping it I could easily remember 4 dreams per night.

As for ways to prolong lucidity, I suggest you read through the Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial. There you can find many techniques you can use to prevent yourself from losing lucidity or waking up.

I've read what Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial. I learned some ways and I had my second partial lucid dream last night. I improved a little due to your suggestions enjyu and juf. I still have to experience more. You can read about my second dream in my dream journal (cant paste links yet)

This one turned out better than your first one! I find if I feel as if I'm going to wake up from a lucid (like I have warnings, like the world spinning ect.) and I can't stabilize it, that it helps to try to recall the dream while I'm still dreaming. That way, when I wake up, it's all fresh in my mind. I've never actually read about other people doing this but it's worth a shot. Good luck.
