      Hello there!!

      Hello everyone...

I am very excited to be part of DV. I stumbled across it accidentally when I was googling my own blog , where I write about some of the best dreams I've had. I didn't know there's such a big forum for people to discuss about their dreams and more importantly on lucid dreaming.

I started lucid dreaming without my knowledge, used to have recurring nightmares which I seemed to realize yet couldn't come out of. I tried pushing against the bed to get up, but in vain as I could only feel coming out of my body rather than my body getting up, had to struggle hard to come out of the nightmares. Now I realize it was sleep paralysis.

I've also had pleasant dreams too where I've flown around my house. I have a description of it in a post of my blog:-The Dream Void...

Later when I realized those were lucid dreams(mainly after watching Inception ) and educated myself a little on Lucid dreaming, I tried inducing them and found that I could do it where I could control what I was doing. But it was more astonishing after I learnt there is a forum as such and there are various techniques involved and I am excited to try out all of them

I just read a few posts of other users and various tutorials a couple days back when I joined and tried them out in the night and I was surprised I could achieve it easily. Even tried to do a Task of the month of December about flying up to see how snow forms, but only managed to fly up into the clouds before the dream dispersed.
I'll post it in my DJ now and hoping I can learn enough to do loads of things my imagination can come up with with the forum's help

      Again..Hello all!!

      Hello, and welcome to DreamViews!

You mentioned having a lucid dream after only a few days since you joined DreamViews. It sounds like it was a great lucid dream as well, being able to fly and remembering the Task Of The Month. What technique was it you used?

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

      Welcome to DV ^_^
This is a great site, the dream journal feature is nice too. Nightmares are a common way to become lucid , so congrats ^^
      What technique did you try?
Anywho, welcome to DV and if you have any questions, feel free to ask!

      Thank you all...

@Enjyu: I have the description of the dream in my dream journal entry: DJ Entry
And I'm not sure which technique I used. But if you can, do let me know what it was after seeing the DJ entry, so I can learn to do more and better

During the dream, you became aware that you were dreaming by doing a reality check inside the dream. This is the basic idea behind the DILD technique.

If I'm not mistaken, this sounds a lot like the MILD technique (more specifically, a so called "Visualization MILD"), visualizing a previous dream as you fall asleep.

My suggestion would be to practise either the DILD technique or the MILD technique. Try both of them out for a while, and see which one works best for you.
