MrSentient25 in the Building! Hi All!

      Hi Folks,

I look forward to meeting some of you. I won't say too much here:

      A little bit about myself:
      -I'm 23
-My Favorite Movies: Into the Wild, Fight Club, Vanilla Sky, and Inception
-Favorite Song: Untitled #8 by Sigur Ros
-My interests can be described as eclectic: I love art, science, sociology, philosophy, and innovation among other things

I've long had an interest in dreams. I'm intrigued by the potential of lucid dreaming. What can I find? What can I create? What can I discover about myself? Can I make myself better? These are the questions I seek to answer. I want to create, destroy, love, hate, and put myself in situations that require courage.

Like I said, I look forward to meeting some of you. If you have any advice, on using the forum or on lucid dreaming in general, that'd be great.

      Cheers,
      MrS25

Welcome aboard! Better get a dream journal started, that's your first and most important step to answering those questions of yours.

Good luck with the lucid chasing.

How's it going, Mr. Sentient? Welcome to Dream Views!

Considering your stated interests, I'm pretty sure you'll love this place. The Cusp touched on a very important point, which is to make sure you start up your dream journal. It will help you keep track of your experiences, as well as to help you recognize any patterns or dream signs that can aid you becoming aware of the dream state. I would also suggest checking out some of the tutorials in the DV Wiki section (link at the top of the page). There are a few different ways to reach lucidity, and what works best will differ from person to person. In my own experience, I would recommend checking out the DILD and WBTB tutorials first, and depending on how often you can remember your dreams, you might want to check out information about improving Dream Recall as well.

If you have any specific questions, along your journey, don't hesitate to ask.
      Enjoy your stay!

(It's also good to see you around, The Cusp!)

Cool. Thanks for those tips. I do in fact have a physical dream journal going. I'll check out those links that you mentioned, Zero, and I'll see you both around.
