      New kid

      hey guys,
      I'm not new here i just made a new account cause i made a new email.
      I'm pretty familiar with lucid dreaming and i was really into it last year but i had to stop with school but now I'm getting back into it again and my main goal is to master a WILD! i have one question and ill probably put it up in a forum but has any one ever WILD while just trying to go to sleep the first time?

      Hi and welcome to the forums!

      WILDs often don't work when attempting them right when you go to sleep due to the fact that you're not going directly into REM sleep, the phase during which dreams occur. Most people preform them in the middle of the night in conjunction with WBTB or during naps when they are going directly to REM. The key is to find when to wake up for a WBTB so when you go back to sleep you end up in REM. The amount of time varies from person to person but it's normally between 4 and 6 hours after you go to sleep. Good luck!

      Thanks Burke! but i have another question?If you just maybe waited long eough to get into a REM cycle then could you get into a dream the first time going to sleep?

      Yes, it is possible to get into a WILD the first time going to sleep but NOT recommended. If you aren't going to do a WBTB with it, it is better just to do another technique.
