      Hello.

Nice to meet you all, thought i'd briefly introduce myself as it seems like a nice community of dreamers we have here

      Welcome to DreamViews!

Did you start to get lucid dreams naturally, or do you practise a certain technique to get them?

      Thanks for the kind welcomes!

I found out about lucid dreaming a while back when I had a random lucid dream of me flying through clouds which was amazing, so I looked it up and then found out you could have a lucid dream intentionally! I've tried many techniques now, but what's worked most for me is mindfullness and strong belief.

I noticed after not having dreams for a while that i'd developed a fear of failure of some sort, as I really wanted to lucid dream again but kept kicking myself for failing, which made me doubt myself.
So I set smaller goals first, and gave myself dead lines so I didn't feel bad for not achieving them right away, that really helped to build up my confidence in my own abilities, then eventually it just came naturally to me (not always every day, usually 4-6 days a week depending on stress and sleep schedules etc.)

      What about you guys?

I hear that alot around here, about confidence being a great asset to achieving lucidity. And stress/sleep schedules are my mortal enemies at the moment. What works best for me is when I know I don't have to get up early for work, which knocks out both the stress and sleep schedule problem for me. I need LOADS of sleep. So usually what happens is that I wake up and go back to sleep (WBTB) over and over from about 7am - 10am. When I get it right, I can have several lucid dreams in a single morning.

That's so great that you're not only really successful at LDing, but that you worked at it and didn't give up. Congrats on that!

If you discovered this yourself well done, mindset is a great way to induce lucids, have you tried getting in thise MIND set just before bed? That can make it more effective. (even more when used with WBTB).
