New member - beginner lucid dreamer!

      Hello everyone!
I recently discovered my obsession with dreams (and lucid dreams, actually), so I've been reading up a lot on this subject on the Internet lately. I think it's really nice that there are so many people doing this and sharing their experiences, so I want to be able to take part in this wonderful community!

I'm 16, from Romania, and haven't had a real lucid dream yet (although my dreams are fairly complex, and sometimes I realise that I'm dreaming for very short periods of time) but I'm doing my best to achieve just that!

Even if you realize it just for a short time, it's still a lucid.

If you want to make them longer, read up on stabilization techniques. But don't worry, first ones are often short (at least mine were). Also, start a dream journal if you have not done so, it will help you remember your dreams. Lots of good info in Dreamviews Wiki tutorials.

      Good luck!

      Welcome!
If you know that you are dreaming, you are lucid. Don't worry about the length, my first LD was about 2 seconds long. I had had more than 20 LDs before I had my fist LD, that was longer than 1 minute. And they are still usually shorter than 1 minute nowadays. So don't be discouraged if you cannot stabilize your first LDs.

Thank you for the warm welcomes
Well in that case I guess I already do have some past experience in lucidity, but I do have to keep working on it. I'll keep on reading and all around here.
