      Natural Dreamer?

      Hi everyone!

I am new here. I have always had vivid dreams in the past and have become lucid before even knowing what it was a couple times before. Sometimes My dreams get so intense I can almost feel my body shaking in my sleep and wake up sweaty!

SO my very first might of actually keeping a dream journal I recorded 3-4 dreams in just one night! Very exciting. My body automatically woke up gently between each dream cycle and I was able to jot things down quickly befor going back to sleep.

I have been doing reality checks for the pas couple days to to practice and becoming more aware of my surroundings and attention to detail.

My question is at this point my dreams appear almost as if I am watching a movie, kind of dark and fuzzyish. I feel like I am watching a film of something that already happened rather than being an active participant. Does this just come with time? I do feel an emotional connection to the events that take place.

So far my dream sign is teeth falling out. However in the past I can remember being in places with no shoes on and experiencing and alien invasion (moreso when I was a kid)

Whew! Thats a mouthful thanks everyone!

Welcome to the beautiful world of dreaming pal , i hope you enjoy your stay !

You are on the right track by keeping the dream journal (It helps a BUNCH) . Although you can't relay on your teeth falling out as a dream sign (as it doesn't occur in the most of your dreams) its a good thing you realized how the stuff is working .

      Natural Dreamer?
We are all natural dreamers.. every human has a couple of dreams a night (i think statistics says 4-6). The problem is people don't usually remember a few, or any of them . That's where your dream journal kicks in and helps you remember most of your dreams.. With practice you will be able to remember every single dream to the detail ^^ ..

Darkness and fuzzyness doesn't always occur , it varies from dream to dream.. Although, if you get lucid, you can easily stabilize the dream and it will get vivid !

I suggest you look up a guide on All Day Awareness AND Sporadic Awareness Technique ..

That should be it for now ! Be sure to question everything that comes on your mind, and keep in touch with other DV members on our forums , we will be glad to help !

Welcome! With your natural vividness and ability to wake up between dream cycles, it sounds like you'll be a master of your own dreams in no time! I'm jealous

I don't think I've experienced what you're saying about dreams being more like a movie, but I've seen other people talk about it here. I've no doubt that this will improve with time, most likely from simply thinking about your dreams (and dreaming in general) more - like you're doing now.

Also, isn't teeth falling out generally considered a representation of money problems?

      Welcome to the forum!

It's good that you're starting up on RCs and awareness already, with your recall you should get somewhere in no time. I'm like that too, I've pretty much always woken up at least a few times a night and remembered something each time, though sometimes I'm too lazy to write my dreams down.

If you keep up the dream journal, your vividness will increase. Just remember to write in as much detail as you can each time so your mind focuses more and more on it and it'll get easier and easier. I recommend starting one here on the site too, that way you can get feedback about your dreams and become more motivated to keep it up.
