      Hey everyone

I've been wanting to try out lucid dreaming for a few years now.
I finally started about a month ago and thought it'd be better if I found a way to read about it more and be more interactive with it. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's experiences and hopefully learning more, thanks.

      Hey Intension,
Welcome, reading about dreaming is a great way to get interested and it also contributes to having a DILD a fair bit (I've found).
I hope to see you around, if you need anything, just send me a PM.

Hello Blake. Welcome to DreamViews! Have you made much progress with improving your dream recall or increasing your control/awareness during your dreams? What made you decide last month to experiment with lucid dreams? Tell us a little more about yourself.

DV just began a couple of courses to teach people some of the basics. One class is a general intro course, and the other is a DILD (dream induced lucid dream) course. If you feel like jumping in, register or make a workbook as instructed.

If you're not interested, then you can find most answers to your questions in the forum. The kind folks in the chat will be able to help you out too.

      Hope you enjoy the forum!

Hey, thanks for the replies, I feel I've made a fair bit of progress with dream recall as a month ago I wouldn't remember anything now I remember 2-3 dreams a night, 1 on bad nights. I've yet to realize I'm dreaming in a dream I can remember. But I've been reading DILD and WILD guides a lot because I wake up sometimes during the night, so it's easy to at least attempt WILD. And what made me decide to get into lucid dreaming was about 6 months ago I saw the film Waking Life and it got me interested in dreams, and as a result Lucid Dreams. I think the concept is just great and I can't wait until I'm experienced at it

Welcome to dreamviews! Pro tip: In your mind, make yourself believe you're the best lucid dreamer ever. That way, your brain will make you have more LDs. Thats the problem with new people, they don't believe in themselves. That sounds cheesy ahaha

      Happy dreaming!

I just watched Waking Life a week or two ago. I learned about it from this forum. I also really liked it.

You have really good dream recall! I hope you have success with WILDs and DILDs.

Thanks for the kind words, last night I put myself into sleep paralysis trying to get into a LD, Which may or may not be considered WILD? I'm not too well rounded on that, but in the end it was a wasted effort because I was lying there for an hour trying to get into a dream. I guess I'll have to read up on it more

You had SP? That's good! I'm not very knowledgeable about SP and WILD myself, but maybe next time you have SP for a while, try doing a reality check. Is it possible that you were asleep during that time?

Nah, I don't think I was asleep because I was still aware I was in bed. I tried forcing myself into a dream but it didn't really work . I'm fairly sure it was sleep paralysis, I mean I didn't move my body for like 30 minutes until it felt like I was tied down to the bed and could barely move the tips of my fingers.

What Caenis means, is that you had a False Awakening, which means you were dreaming that you were in bed trying to WILD. It is very common. If you have any questions about WILDing, ask me as it is my favorite method of getting lucid.

I don't think I had that, but it is very possible Could you link me to the WILD guide you found to be the best? Thanks

Oh, I use my own variation, I will probably write it up sometime, or I might do a lecture on WILDing and have it there. But here is a really successful technique I have seen that you can apply to WILDs:
