Thumbs up Hello from France !

Hey there ! Just wanted to introduce myself a little.
So I discovered this site yesterday and I have to say that I am completely amazed. How the hell didn't I knew about this before today ?

Well, I tried for the first time yesterday when I went to bed around 01:00 am, and at first I thought my WILD didn't work, because it was like nothing happened. I opened my eyes and everything was normal, so I just went back to sleep. But today while waking up, I realized the lights weren't normal ; There was light whereas I turned it off before trying to WILD, and above all, the light I saw filled just the space between my nose and my right eye (hope you get it). After that I had a normal dream but I didn't realized it was a dream.

      Now about myself

I'm just a regular 14 years old french boy, mainly interested in computer stuff and programming. I discovered about LDs yesterday while on 4chan's /b/, on a "life hacks" thread and at first I honestly thought it was a hoax.

So dreamviews' community, I just have one question to ask you : How much is a lucid dream real ? I mean, when I dream, things always seem blurry and confused, and they never have details. According to most of people who have experienced lucid dreaming, these dreams look "surrealistic", more real than real life, and I think I can understand that. So please let me know about what you feel, what you smell, what you taste when in a LD.

Finally, I want to know if lucid dreaming is as real as the film Inception (excellent film btw), and if the possibilities are basically the same.

      Have a good day !

That was exactly my reaction lol

As for reality, it seems very real, as long as it lasts though.. Upon waking up, you realize that the dream cant compete with the vividness of normal everyday life.
As for tastes, i never really explore beyond sight and sound.. maybe feel too..
Inception, well remember that anything is possible in your dream.. Its all down to your imagination
Though i suggest you dont start with WILD, its more of an advanced technique for most, try to start off with DILD..

Anyway, have a great stay here,
      -Sam
The idea is to remain in a constant state of departure while always arriving..
