      Greetings from Brazil

Hi people, here is Rubens, i'm from brazil and 19 years old

I'm fascinated with all this about lucid dreaming since about one month ago and had the achievement of one lucid dream already...

Now i'm trying to learn more about all of this, reading a lot of the books from Stephen LaBerge

Hope i'll find some help here and soon be able to help others

      cya

Hello Rubens, welcome to DV. Congrats on your first lucid dream! Do you know how you had it, or was it spontaneous? How did you learn about lucid dreaming? Reading Stephen LaBerge's books will certainly help you learn more about lucid dreaming, good choice. This forum has a lot of tutorials and knowledgeable members, so I'm sure you'll be able to learn from here too. There are also a couple of courses being taught here by experienced members, head into the DV Academy subforum to look at the classes being offered, and what you can learn from each.

Good luck! Hope you get another LD soon.

      Thanks Caenis

I actually don't remember how i heard about LD oO, i was surfering through the internet and saw something about it. Yet in the first day i heard about it I started to read one book from LaBerge, in this same night I woke from a non lucid dream feeling Sleep Paralys and remembered to just "let it take me", i imagined a simple scenario and in few seconds i was inside the dream.
I lost the lucidity soon cause i let the anger and the fear take me in this one.

      It's almost 2 months and i couldn't have another LD :/

It makes me a little sad, but i know that it was actually my fault, cause I feel like i wasn't giving all from me.

Some days ago I started my Dream Journal to improve my dream recall and recognize things that usually happens in my dreams.
I also started doing Reality Checks more often, I feel that I will get it soon

Welcome to Dreamviews, Rubens! One of my teachers is from Brazil.

Anyway, reading any book by LaBerge will help you a lot with lucid dreaming. Keep it up and get more lucids! See you around If you need any help, you are welcome to send me a PM.

The teacher you mentioned still lives in Brazil ?

No problem. Nope, he does not but he talks about what it was like in Brazil almost everyday. Haha. Hope you get lucid tonight!

LDing has become a little more popular over the years, so I guess it's natural for you to have read about it on the Internet.

=/ Sorry you haven't had a LD in two months. I had my first about a month ago (I started trying to have a LD two months ago), so I've also been having difficulty inducing a second lucid dream. For some of us, it just takes longer. But one of the big factors is confidence! Believe yourself to be the best lucid dreamer in the world!

I just read one of Mancon's older threads, Common Mistakes That Prevent People From Getting Lucid. Maybe this, or one of the many new and older threads at DV, can help to guide you. Good luck, Rubens, I have faith in your ability to attain lucidity!
