      Hello!

      Hi!

I've been interesting in lucid dreaming for quite some while but i've never taken it seriously but I really want to make an effort trying to have regularly lucid dreams.

I tried it once, about one year ago, with the WILD method and it worked (my first time!) but I could only hang on for about 10 second, I was simply too overwhelmed and excited that it worked. I don't know why I didn't continue back then but I was kind of aiming on making a "carrier" of it now and get some experience since it's one of the coolest things the humankind is capable of.

Does anyone have any reading/video tips except for the beginners guide?

      Welcome to DV!

There is tons of articles in DV Wiki, other than the beginner guides. And there is also useful info in threads, just take your time and browse.

Are you thinking of going for WILDs again, or trying something different? Well, read up and post your questions. Happy dreams

      Thank you!

Yeah, since i've had such success with the WILD method my first time I was planning on continuing with the same method. I barely even remember my dreams so an DILD would be kind of hard for me with the reality checks and so on. I tried WILD'ing (funny expression) yesterday but I lost focus and slipped in to unconsciousness. I think that the reason I was less successful this time is because I ate my melatonin an hour or so before I attempted it. Probably a bad idea eating sleeping medications before an attempt with lucid dreaming.

When are you attempting WILD? It is best after 4 or 5 hours of sleep, when your REM cycles are nice and long. It can also work well during an afternoon or early evening nap.

First time it was in the middle of the day. Can't recall the exact time. Second time it was around 10 pm, but I slept through the whole day, so I slept about 5 hours before attempting the WILD. I was awake for like 1 hour after I woke up before the attempt.
