Thank you guys for the welcome. And thanks for the advice, SilverJay; I've already done a little research on the techniques. I've realized I've unintentionally triggered DEILDs before, so I know what to feel and what to expect when the time comes to intentionally try out the prolonged WILD. When I think about it, I would actually find it a little easier to achieve than DILDs, as I am horrible at dream recall and recognition. If I ever have a DILD, it seems to occur spontaneously. WILDs seem to require patience and dedication, as well as levelheadedness during sleep paralysis and a good understanding of it. There's more control and preciseness when it comes to WILDs, the outcome is more or less in my hands; I prefer that over the random DILD experiences.
