      Smile Hello

I learned about lucid dreaming about a year ago. What usually happens is that start to meditate, do reality checks, and writing my dreams in a journal for a couple days. Then something will get in the way were I will have to stop. I have a good feeling about this time though. I have been doing reality checks and meditation for a solid week and a half and have had one lucid dream already. I haven't done much with a dream journal yet, but I'm planning to start after I finish this post. So. . . that's pretty much it, I hope this will be a good experience.

      Welcome to the DreamViews forum!

You are doing everything right! Recall of dreams is an important first step towards lucidity and writing in a dream journal daily can really help. I also find life gets in the way sometimes but I still try to at least outline my dreams on a pad of paper using key words and phrases that will help me recall the dream when I have the time to write them in greater detail. Try it for yourself!

The best thing you have is a good positive attitude! You need that. We all have days or weeks where we simply don't recall our dreams or our efforts fail. Nothing here is absolute. We do our best and with luck we achieve more and more success. Never give up!

If I or any of the other staff members can be of any assistance please ask; post a question here or send any of us a Private Message by clicking on our profile picture. The Staff List is also linked above using the Quick Links drop-down menu.

      Happy dreaming!

I know how you feel. Life always seems to want to interrupt. Stay consistent for a few weeks, and hopefully it will stick and become a new habit.
