Hello Kevin, welcome to the forum. |

So my name is Kevin and i have been interested in LDing for a couple months now but it wasn't until about two weeks ago that i started to seriously commit to it. So far i have started my dream journal which i update consistently. My dream recall is ok, not great. I've had a few nights where i remember like one really detailed and vivid dream along with like 2 other dreams which i only remember fragments of and I've had nights where i struggle to remember anything at all. I have not had an LD yet but I'm working on it. I tried the MILD technique but things like mantras and all the visualizations you need to do just end up keeping me awake most of the time. I decided trying to WILD and although i have not LDed with it yet, or even fully achieved SP, but i feel I'm making progress. So far the sensations I've felt while trying is after a while of laying motionless on my back and counting my breaths i begin to lose feeling in my legs and my arms or sometimes they start to tingle, like someone is tapping them with an ice cube. Then after about 40-45 minutes i start to get these hot flashes throughout my body which makes me uncomfortable and breaks my concentration and my WILD attempt, but i suppose if i can ignore these I'll be able to enter SP. |

Welcome to Dream Views. I am glad you found us. I would suggest that you keep up the MILD work. You do not need to do a mantra any given length of time. I would do it until you wish to stop, then stop. I would also do MILD work during the day. The dream guide Gab would be happy to share ideas with you on how to get into a good (for you) MILD routine. I say this because for most people you are much more likely to get LDs from MILD than you are from WILD. |

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I admit I'm one of those beginners who was drawn to WILD because it sounded cool and i agree that i probably gave up on MILD too easily. I'll take everything you guys said into consideration and I'll definitely check out Gab's posts and maybe even that DVA class. Thanks again for the replies!! |

All successful people men and women are big dreamers. They imagine what their future could be, ideal in every respect, and then they work every day toward their distant vision, that goal or purpose.
It's best to have failure happen early in life. It wakes up the Phoenix bird in you so you rise from the ashes.
